📄 E-Filing Help & Rejection FixesLearn how to file your court forms online — and what to do when the court clerks reject them.📍 What is e-Filing?
E-filing is how you file court paperwork electronically, instead of walking into the courthouse.
Los Angeles Superior Court uses 1eFile.com — that’s your starting point.
🎯 Why it matters
If you can’t file, you can’t fight.
Family court doesn’t care how much you love your kid or how strong your case is — if your documents aren’t accepted, they’re invisible.
E-filing is one of many gatekeepers to help baby momma's in fighting you for your legal rights to your children..Learn the system! You save time and effort leveling the playing field. SAVE MONEY $$$ on printing cost.🛠️ How to Start
Go to 1eFile.com
Make an account (free)Choose “Los Angeles Superior Court”Upload your forms in signed PDF format.
SIDEBAR!!! Before uploading, make sure every form is digitally signed using Adobe Acrobat (FREE) — the court will reject unsigned documents.
If you need to combine multiple documents into one file, convert files or shrink the file size, visit ILovePDF.com (FREE).
The court’s system has a maximum upload limit of 49 MB, but we recommend staying under 35 MB to avoid issues.
Select NEW CASE or your courthouse and case numberAfter you submit your document, you’ll get an email confirming the upload was complete.
The good news? You can e-file 24/7, anytime, even at 3:33 a.m. if needed.
The nerve-racking part? Waiting.
Stomach churning waiting for an email letting you know if your filing gets accepted or rejected is entirely up to the court clerks, and they only review submissions between 8:30 a.m. and 3:59 p.m.
And let’s be honest — court clerks pack up early. Sometimes they’re in a rush for a potluck, a birthday party, or a baby shower.
Sometimes they’re just straight up ready to go home or simply just not in front of their computer at work.
So don’t panic if you don’t hear back right away. Refresh that inbox and remember — this is a big part of the game of Family Court.
A challenge under review, we shall say.
Did we score? Or do we need to re-run the play?
Either way, stay locked in. Champions don’t quit when the whistle blows — they get ready for the next snap.

📤 E-Filing Rejections Log
Learn from my mistakes — so you don’t make them.
This is a running log of real e-filing rejections I’ve received. They’re sorted by 👎 Major Errors and ⚠️ Minor Errors, with plain-language fixes and what to watch for. These are the real comments from court clerks.Use this guide, and remember:📎 Press CTRL + F (or ⌘ + F on Mac) to search for keywords like DV-100, names don’t match, or PDF.This list is here to help you file stronger next time — and to help the next father too.👎 MAJOR ERRORS (These will stop your case cold)
📛 Wrong type of form filed
❌ “This is the wrong type of paperwork to file for a continuance. You need DV-115 and DV-116.”
✅ Use DV-115 to request a new court date and DV-116 to ask the judge to approve it.
🧾 Information doesn't match across forms❌ “Names don’t match on all forms, including other protected people. Ages and relationships are inconsistent.”
✅ Double-check that names, ages, and relationships match exactly across every form (DV-100, CLETS-001, etc.). No nicknames or short forms.
📄 Pages out of order❌ “DV-105 must go behind DV-100. DV-108 must go behind DV-105.”
✅ Always stack your forms in the proper order — ask AI or check court websites for the sequence.
🧍♂️ Missing info on DV-100 / DV-130 / DV-110❌ “#32 on DV-100 is incorrect. 63 pages are not attached. DV-130 missing DV-140 and DV-145.”
✅ Complete every required question. Attach any documents referenced. Bundle DV-130 with DV-140 and DV-145.
👤 Names missing or inconsistent on CLETS❌ “Middle names are on some forms but missing on others. Needs to match.”
✅ Use full legal names exactly the same on every form, including middle names for all parties.
🔒 Trying to file something exempt from eFiling❌ “Document exempt from efiling; original must be submitted conventionally.”
✅ Some documents (like proposed orders or originals) must be hand-delivered. Double check.
📑 Wrong PDF format (not text-searchable)❌ “All documents must be text-searchable PDFs, per CRC Rule 2.256(b).”
✅ Upload only searchable PDFs. Use Adobe Acrobat or ILovePDF.com to fix this.
🧾 Used wrong form or skipped required forms❌ “You must file a brand-new case with all required forms: DV-109, DV-110, DV-100, CLETS-001, FAM-020, FAM-018, DV-130.”
✅ Ask AI or use the [L Block Playbook] to see the full list for a restraining order case.
🔁 Duplicate documents submitted❌ “You submitted the notice twice.”
✅ Triple-check before hitting submit. Each document should appear only once.
📦 Submitted one big PDF instead of separate forms❌ “DV-110 and DV-130 shouldn't be filed together.”
✅ Upload each form as its own PDF unless instructed otherwise.

⚠️ MINOR ERRORS (These can be fixed quickly)
📝 Declaration filled out by the wrong person
❌ “Declaration of Ex Parte should be filled out by petitioner ‘Miles.’”
✅ Always sign your own declaration unless you are filing on behalf of someone under a power of attorney.
📎 Missing attachments or pages❌ “DV-130 is missing DV-140 and DV-145.”
✅ Review attachment rules for each form. Some require extra pages.
📆 Used Proposed Order as a main PDF❌ “The Proposed Order should be uploaded as a separate PDF file.”
✅ Orders go in their own upload — not bundled with requests.
📇 Used informal titles (e.g. ‘mija’)❌ “Use of ‘mija’ is not valid. Must say daughter or full name.”
✅ Avoid nicknames. Use formal titles like “daughter” or full names.
📁 Missing required forms in new case❌ “To begin a restraining order, include all forms in a new case.”
✅ For new filings, always include: DV-100, DV-109, DV-110, CLETS-001, FAM-020, FAM-018, and DV-130.
